    While consumers are largely protected against fraud, merchants are not!

    Most every ecommerce web merchant has experienced fraudulent credit card charges and chargebacks, and merchants suffer considerable losses – first in unpaid merchandise, then in chargeback fees, and in building a case to fight the chargeback, etc. This is expensive, aggravating, and distracting to the merchant.

    “My partner and I started a Pen Pal site in late 1990’s, and were the ‘cleanest’ friendship site with 12,000 free members, we were even judged to be the Top 100 websites in the world! This was elating, and we added some premium features. Sometime in 1999/2000 we decided charge a fee for use of premium features and in a few weeks well over 2,000 members signed up @ $ 10 a year.
